Annual Turkey Trot Races For Kids, Adults In Long Beach
The runs are on Nov. 21 at New York Avenue and the boardwalk.
LONG BEACH, NY — Looking to get in shape before eating the Thanksgiving turkey? Long Beach's City Council hosts the 16th Annual Turkey Trot on Sun., Nov. 21.
There is a 10K race (6.2 miles) for adults and a one-mile run for all ages 17 and under.
Day of race registration and t-shirt pick-up is from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. at Long Beach Catholic Regional School Gymnasium.

The one-mile race steps off at 8:30 a.m., while the 10K begins at 9 a.m. Both runs start and finish at New York Avenue and the boardwalk.
The top three male and female youngsters will be awarded from several age brackets.

Awards in the 10K will recognize the Top 4 finishers in multiple age groups.
Race-day fee (or in advance) for the mile run is $10. Same-day registration is $35 for the main race.
