Bakery Worker Gets Arm Stuck In Machinery

The Oceanside Fire Department and police safely freed the woman's arm.

OCEANSIDE, NY — A female bakery worker got her arm stuck her a piece of machinery. Police were called to My Dad's Cookies in Oceanside, just after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The victim, 48, had her right arm impaled. Officers along with members of the Emergency Services Unit and the Oceanside Fire Department assisted. The ESU disassembled the machinery and extricated the woman's arm. She suffered a severe laceration, police said.

The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
