City Council Meeting Moved To Live Stream As COVID-19 Spikes

Residents can participate via Zoom in the meeting that includes whether to opt-out of allowing retail cannabis dispensaries.

LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday night will go on. But, due to concerns with rising COVID-19 cases, council members will not meet in person.

The Dec. 21 meeting will be held via videoconference and a transcript will be available at a later date, the city said on its website.

Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions via Zoom. The public can watch the live meeting on their YouTube channel.
