City Of Long Beach Hosting Annual School Supply Drive
The supplies will all go to Long Beach children who need them.
The City of Long Beach, in partnership with The Robert D. Gause Foundation and MLK Inc., is hosting a School Supply Drive from now until Friday, Sept. 1.
Supplies can be dropped off at the City Hall lobby, Recreation Center lobby, the Long Beach Stop and Shop and the Martin Luther King Center, and are all for local children in need of those items for the upcoming school year.
Supplies will be delivered to the city’s Martin Luther King Center on Monday, Sept. 4 from noon to 8 p.m. during the Robert D. Gause Foundation’s Asthma Awareness Community Fair – Robbie Day. Besides learning about prevention and treatment for asthma, there will be special performances, haircuts, a bouncy house, refreshments and much more.
