Parenting Workshop “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” (book by Carol McCloud)

Did you know that we were all born with an invisible bucket to hold our good thoughts and feelings? Teaching our children how they can be bucket-fillers or bucket-dippers will allow them to understand the positive and negative consequences of their words and actions.

Kids of all ages learn that filling someone else’s bucket by doing something kind, showing good manners or cooperating will, in turn, fill their bucket. The opposite is also true. When we “dip” in someone’s bucket by saying hurtful things, hit, yell or act like a bully, we dip in our own bucket as well.
