Lecture: The Influence of Yiddish Humor on American Culture

Dr. Kenneth Libo, who is a Professor of American Jewish History at CUNY Hunter College, will be at the Friedberg JCC in Oceanside on July 6 to talk about the Yiddish language and the influence it has on American language. He will look at it "beyond the confines of the immigrant Jewish world."

The program is free, but a $6 donation is suggested. This is supported by the New York Council for the Humanities. For additional information, contact Maddy Levi at (516) 634-4154 or email mlevi@friedbergjcc.org.
