The Long Beach Department of Recreation will be holding swim lesson registration on Sept. 12 at 7 a.m. for Long Beach Residents. Non-resident registration will begin on Sept. 16.
Swim lessons are offered on all levels from children to adults. Children have to be at least five years of eight or four feet tall to be eligible for group classes, according to the Department of Recreation, with the exception of mommy & me classes, as well as pre-kindergarten instruction.
The cost is $100 plus admission for residents and $125 plus admission for non-residents. Group lessons include 10 classes once a week.
