George Fisher, a World War II veteran, will be discussing his experiences during the war on Jun. 13 at the Long Beach Library.
He was sent to Normandy only 90 days after the infamous D-Day. Fisher and his comrades were deployed to the Moncourt Woods – the location where the Battle of the Bulge would eventually begin. Recounting his wartime efforts, Fisher will take guests back in time with his lecture.
