Second Annual Long Beach Boardwalk March

Our Second Annual Long Beach Boardwalk March will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Currently we have 40 confirmed members of the Armed Forces participating in the event.

Peaceful Minds is a Wellness Center for Combat Veterans who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The veterans who are eligible are "silently wounded" and may be suffering from Post-Combat Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, Anxiety, Depression, Headaches, Insomnia, and Pain. They are treated in this wellness center FREE of charge, with acupuncture, reiki, massage therapy, meditation, and yoga.

Proceeds from this event will go to directly to the treatment of our precious combat veterans. We are a direct referral from Command of the 69th INFANTRY, who has local troops deploying to Afghanistan in a couple weeks.

While we are waiting for our grant funding to come through, the need for our services, our waiting list, and the suicide rate all increase daily. (Proceeds from this event will go towards the following needed items--needles, heat lamps, sheets, pillows, essential oils, rent, printing costs, etc.) Our goal is to raise $10,000. We have already raised $1000 from some generous donors.

Please check out our new website for further information & updates on the trials and tribulations our veterans face. Our new blog will be launched soon.
