My Father’s Place was one of the most important rock music clubs on Long Island. For 11 1/2 years, the club was the place to go for great fun and entertainment. Started by Michael (Eppy) Epstein, performers at the club were Billy Joel, Billy Crystal, Robert Klein, Harry Chapin and many of the original Saturday Night Live alumni, including John Belushi, Eddie Murphy and Gilda Radner, among others. Michael (Eppy) Epstein, author of the book Fun and Dangerous, along with David Baram, his partner in the 1970’s and the LBPL’s attorney, will make history come alive as they share the untold tales and unseen photos that are in the book and the many colorful events that took place in Roslyn during this period in history.
Books will be available for purchase through the Friends of the LBPL.
