Firefighters Rescue 3 Cats From Long Beach House Fire
Firefighters arrived on the scene and quickly got the blaze under control. No one was injured.
LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach Fire Department rescued three cats from a fire in a West Olive Street Home that quickly filled with smoke.
According to the fire department, the call came in just before 1:45 p.m. for the fire on the 400 block of West Olive. When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke coming from the second-floor windows.
The fire department said the blaze most likely started under the stairs on the first floor and traveled up to the second. The Long Beach Fire Department was able to quickly get the flames under control.

Firefighters rescued three cats from inside the home. One of them was given medical aid by a paramedic for smoke inhalation. No one was harmed in the fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
