Hit-and-Run Driver Struck Woman Who Fell Off Bike in Nassau
Police are searching for an older model black colored Acura RSX. The woman is in critical condition.
ISLAND PARK, NY – A 31-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Island Park early Saturday, police say.
According to Nassau Police, the woman was riding her bicycle eastbound on Railroad Place and then made a right turn onto Long Beach Road. The woman fell off her bike into the right traffic lane on Long Beach Road at about 2:23 a.m.
A car then struck the woman and the driver fled the scene southbound on Long Beach Road, police said.

The woman, who police did not name, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of internal injuries and is listed in critical condition.

The car that fled is described as an older model black colored 2-door Acura RSX sedan with blacked out taillights and a tinted license plate cover.
Police are anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
