Jimi Gubelli 5K Set For Saturday, Rain Or Shine

Island Park's annual race, the Jimi Gubelli 5k Run/Walk, is set for Saturday, June 22, rain or shine. Those interested in participating can still sign up.

The course takes runners through the level streets of Island Park. And it's not just a run — money raised goes to the Jimi Gubelli Foundation, which funds scholarships for local children.

Registration fees are $35 for adults and $15 for kids 14 and under. Check-in starts at 8:15 a.m., and the race starts at 9:30 a.m. sharp. There will be awards for the top three finishers overall, the top three male and female finishers, as well as for the top finishers in certain age groups.

And stick around after the race for the post-race party, which includes food, drink, raffles, entertainment, prizes and more.
