Kids' Favorite: Easter Egg Hunt Takes Over Long Beach Next Month

Registration is required ahead of the April 1 holiday event.

LONG BEACH, NY — Spring is on the way, and what better to usher in the next season than the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Presented by East End Volleyball, it is open to Long Beach and school district residents.

Participation in the April 1 event requires in-person, advanced registration at the Long Beach Recreation Center.

Once maximum capacity is reached they will close registration, the city said on its Facebook page.

Children up to age 7 can be entered, with staggered times. The youngest group searches for eggs at 9 a.m., while 6 and 7 years old take their turn at noon.

A special needs category is also part of the Easter Egg Hunt.

While there is no fee, the city is asking for a non-perishable food item as a soup kitchen donation.
