LBHS Swimmers Take Home County Championship
The boys team won the county Swimming and Diving Championships. Congrats to the swimmers!
From Long Beach Public Schools: Congratulations to the Long Beach Schools Boys Swim team, who recently won the Nassau County Swimming and Diving Championships at Nassau Aquatic Center.
Highlights included a county title for the 200 Free Relay, consisting of Ryan Aroesty, Aidan Kennedy, Griffen Schimmel and Troy Morris, who qualified for the State Championships in this event. Aroesty broke three school records in the 200 Individual Medley, 100 Fly and 50 Free, qualifying for State Championships in each event. In addition to qualifying in the Relay, Morris qualified in the 50 and 100 Free and Medley Relay, and Schimmel qualified in the 500 Free.
Other State qualifiers include Elias Richter (100 Breaststroke, Medley Relay), Dylan Harrington (Medley Relay) and Ethan Bonney (500 Free).
