LIRR Cancels Long Beach-Bound Trains
If you were thinking of leaving the city a little early today, you may have to change your plans.

The MTA is cancelling a few eastbound evening trains due to signal trouble, and the Long Beach line is being affected.
The 4:40 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. trains have been cancelled, the LIRR said on Twitter. The next train to leave Penn Station for Long Beach will be at 5:23 p.m.
The cancellation was caused by signal trouble in the West Side Yard, the LIRR said. The 5:23 p.m. train is scheduled to stop at Jamaica, Locust Manner, Laurelton, Rosedale, Valley Stream, Lynbrook and all local Long Beach Line stops.
