Long Beach Convenience Store Loses Liquor License: Police
The shop was selling pre-rolled marijuana from behind the counter, an undercover investigation showed, the state Liquor Authority said.

LONG BEACH, NY — Seabreeze Grocery lost its liquor license, effectively immediately, the state Liquor Authority said.
The West Beech Street convenience store received complaints about underage sales and untaxed cigarettes. Seabreeze was the subject of an ongoing investigation since May involving illicit drug sales from behind the counter, the SLA said.
Most recently, the licensee sold to an undercover police officer a pre-rolled marijuana cigarette, the SLA said it was the third incident during the operation.

“Due to the repeated violations of a serious nature, including the outright refusal to permit an inspection by regulatory authorities, it is our responsibility to suspend this license,” said SLA Chairman Vincent Bradley. “While marijuana is now legal in New York, selling unregulated products without a license is dangerous and illegal. Consequently, this premises has become a nuisance to the community, a drain to police resources, and a threat to public health and safety.”
