Long Beach Firefighters Rescue Driver From Overturned Car
The car flipped after an accident on Friday afternoon.
Long Beach firefighters rescued a driver who was trapped in their car after an accident on Friday afternoon.
According to the Long Beach Fire Department, there was a two-car crash at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and East Hudson Street at 1:34 p.m. One of the cars had flipped onto its roof, and the driver was trapped inside.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to get the driver out, and then transported them to South Nassau Communities Hospital. The other driver was given medical care at the scene.
