Long Beach Helps Rescue Buffalo After Snow
Remembering how they were helped during Hurricane Sandy, Long Beach repays the favor.

After they received help and support from upstate New Yorkers in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Long Beach workers are repaying the favor by helping remove snow.
After several feet of snow fell in the Buffalo area and devastated the region, the State Department of Transportation and Department of Homeland Security okayed Long Beach to send help, according to the City.
“It is only fair that after other towns and cities did so much to help us in our moment of need, that we do whatever we can to ‘pay it forward’ and assist those in need” said City Council President Scott Mandel.
