Long Beach LIRR Branch Shut Down After Man Hit By Train
The line has been shut down for almost an hour, and there's no sign when it may be restored.

Service on the Long Beach Branch of the Long Island Rail Road was shut down Thursday night after reports of a man hit and killed by a train.
The LIRR said that service on the line was suspended due to police activity in Lynbrook. According to News 12, a man was hit and killed by a train at the Lynbrook station platform.
Service in both directions was suspended for the police investigation, the LIRR said. Instead, some eastbound Long Beach trains are being diverted to Freeport, and have had extra stops added at Rockville Centre and Baldwin.
