Long Beach Police Seize Guns, Drugs And Cash In Joint Raid With FBI: City
The City of Long Beach announced that its police department had seized guns, drugs and cash in a raid last week.
LONG BEACH, NY — The City of Long Beach announced Monday that its police department had seized guns, drugs and cash in an early morning raid Friday with the help of county police and the FBI.
According to the city, officials seized more than 20 guns, ammunition, high-capacity magazines and “deadly amounts” of cocaine, fentanyl, ecstasy, heroin and methamphetamine from a Long Beach home, along with over $100,000 cash.
According to county prosecutors, the raid also uncovered the man responsible for the illicit items: 34-year-old Long Beach resident Charles Burns, who prosecutors said would be charged with 59 counts of drug and weapons offenses after the raid on his home.

“We want to recognize the consistently outstanding work by our Police Department,” City Council Member Michael Reinhart said. “We could not be more grateful to the men and women of the LBPD for taking guns, drugs, and dangers off our streets.”
As for Burns, court documents show he has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
