Long Beach Residents Among Students to Receive Susan Sutton Smith Award
Congratulations to all the award winners!

ONEONTA, NY - SUNY Oneonta recently announced that over 130 students received the 2015-2016 Susan Sutton Smith Award for academic excellence, including two Long Beach residents.
The 139 total students who received the award were all freshmen, sophomores or juniors with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher.
All the award winners received a certificate, a gift card to the campus bookstore, and an invitation to attend the annual Susan Sutton Smith Lecture and reception. Dr. Susan Bernardin, professor of English at SUNY Oneonta, delivered this year's lecture.

The Long Beach students who received the award included Jaclyn Marry, a junior majoring in Biology; and Melissa Marry, a sophomore majoring in Mathematics.

- Christine Coleman, of Merrick, a sophomore majoring in Music Industry
- Keva Moore, of Garden City, a sophomore majoring in Professional Accounting
