Long Beach School Budget Approved

Long Beach residents approved the school district's budget in a vote Tuesday night.

The proposed $142,391,528 budget was approved 1,535 to 676. It came with a 1.92 percent tax levy increase.

This year, there were two people running for one open seat on the Board of Education. Incumbent Perry Bodnar, Jr. was unseated by Anne Conway, who received 1,294 votes to Bodnar's 962.
