Long Beach Teen Hosted Underage Drinking Party: Police

The party host was issued a summons on Saturday.

LONG BEACH, NY - A Long Beach teen was issued a summons after hosting a party where minors were drinking alcohol, according to Long Beach Police.

An officer responded to a home on Harding Avenue for a noise complaint on Saturday night when he noticed alcoholic beverages in the living room, police said.

The teen hosting the party, a 16-year-old male, was issued a summons for violating the social host law for allowing minors to drink alcohol on private property, police said.

He is due to appear in Long Beach City Court on June 16.

"The Long Beach Police Department will not tolerate underage drinking in our community," a press release from police read.
