Long Beach Woman Honored for Decades At DSS

On Friday, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Dr. John Imhof, commissioner of the Department of Social Services (DSS), presented Denise Thorsen of Long Beach with a citation as Employee of the Month for her 29 years of exemplary service in the Department of Social Services.

"I would like to congratulate Denise for being selected as Department of Social Services employee of the month," said Mangano. "The work that the employees of DSS do is crucial to helping those in need. With your standards of integrity, respect, excellence, accountability, customer service and hard work, you have proven to be an invaluable member of our Nassau County family."
