Long Beach Works For Week Of March 20

See what projects are being planned for the city this week.

The City of Long Beach has a lot of work planned for the week of March 20.

In the East End, sewer maintenance crews will be working on running lines for houses that are being raised. The crew will also be in the West End to perform some routine cleaning of sewer lines.

Water distribution workers will be working on water service cuts and restorations in the west part of the city. There will also be contractors at the water pollution control plant to respond to Requests For Proposal for repairs to the system.

The city's engineering department is progressing on the designs for several future road work projects, including Hudson from Grand to Lindell, Pacific from Walnut to Broadway, Harding from Walnut to Broadway and Edwards from Park to the beach.

The Army Corps of Engineering is beginning the long-awaited jetty rehabilitation and reconstruction project this week. The Department of Public Works will be monitoring the work closely.
