Long Islander, FDNY Member To Run For 9/11 Firefighter Victims
Etan Blatt will 34.3 miles run from Long Beach to where the Twin Towers stood.

LONG BEACH, NY — An FDNY firefighter from Atlantic Beach will honor the first responders to died on 9/11.
Etan Blatt will run 34.3 miles as a tribute to the firefighters killed on that fateful day 21 years ago, Newsday said.
The run starts on Long Beach boardwalk and passes several Manhattan firehouses that sustained heavy casualties. Blatt will conclude his Sunday morning jaunt where the Twin Towers stood, Newsday said.

It's the first run for his new charity "The 34.3 Foundation."
Blatt's wife Trish Hennessy posted on Facebook, "The run will begin after a moment of silence for the first plane strike at 8:46am."
