Man Charged With Assault At LBPD Headquarters: Police
Separately, a Long Beach man was taken into custody on two counts of criminal trespassing, police say.

LONG BEACH, NY — A man was taken into custody and charged with assault, intent to cause physical injury at the Long Beach Police Department headquarters, detectives said.
Michael Gerard Hodges, 57, of Yonkers was arrested on Oct. 18, according to police.

- Silvio Sablic, 68, of Long Beach was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal trespassing on Oct. 15, police said.
- Lafayette Powell, 48, of Hempstead was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent on Oct. 15, police said.
- Humberto Guzman, 39, of Long Beach faces charges of driving while intoxicated and driving without a license on Oct. 16, police said.
