Man Robbed During Craigslist Meetup in Inwood
The victim had arranged to sell his iPhone to a man, but was robbed instead, police say.

Police say a 27-year-old man arranged to sell a phone on Craigslist, but when he went to meet the buyer in Inwood Thursday night, he was instead robbed by the buyer and two other men.
According to detectives, the victim had agreed to meet and sell an iPhone after he posted an ad on Craigslist. As the victim exited his car on St. George Place shortly before 9:30 p.m., police say he was approached by three unknown men in their 20s.
One of the men was the buyer who had been in contact with the victim on Craigslist, police said. That man, who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, grabbed the phone out of the victim’s hand along with an undisclosed amount of cash that fell out of victim’s pocket, police said.
