Mary Grant, Long Beach resident, dies at 95

Mary Grant, a Long Beach resident, died on June 4. She was 95.

Born in Manhattan, Grant raised her family in in Stuyvesant Town, New York. Her husband, Edward, and siblings Rita and Michael died before her. She is survived by her sister Margaret (Peggy Madden), sons Edward (Kathleen), Kenneth (Mia), Robert (Jane) and Kelly (Madeleine), nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Grant’s funeral service is at Christopher T. Jordan Funeral Home, at 302 Long Beach Rod. in Island Park, on June 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, at 721 W. Broadway, on June 7.
