WANTAGH, NY — There are dozens of adoptable cats and dogs at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh. This week we highlight Dumpling as our pick of the week.
She's a 3-year-old, who came to the shelter from a hoarding situation with 29 other cats, the shelter wrote on their website.
Dumpling is shy at first with new people but will be a playful pet.

She is in need of a quiet household, the shelter suggests. Dumpling is litterbox trained, vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.
