My Father's Eyeglasses

Father's Day is upon us, and many of us no longer have him to see, hear, and love.

Dad's Day is a day for celebrating the man who helped bring us into this world. A man who provided for us, protected us, and loved us.

When he moves on, we still have memories of him, often powerful memories.

Sometimes the artifacts of a dads life, so common to see while he was among us, hold a special power now. A power that lifts us to recall his words, maybe his trials, difficulties, challenges, and perseverance.

And sometimes what he saw.

I have a sister, Mary Winters, who is gifted with turning thoughts into beautiful words.

She held our dad’s glasses in her hand recently, and shared her thoughts with me about them.

I’d like to share them with you in, My Father's Eyeglasses

Be well,
