Patch AM Rewind: 'Nobody Needs To Own An AR-15,' Parkland Victim Mom

Long Island's Linda Beigel Schulman has been an outgoing voice for new gun laws since her son Scott was killed in 2018.

DIX HILLS, NY — As President Biden begins the latest push to strengthen gun laws, Linda Beigel Schulman, of Suffolk County, is speaking out, as she's done since her son Scott died at the hands of a gunman in 2018.

Scott Beigel was killed helping students at the Stoneman Douglas High School massacre in Parkland, Florida.

"Upping the age to 21 is definitely a start," said Beigel Schulman, a guest on "Patch AM." "Nobody needs to own an AR-15."
