Pedestrian Injured As Car Jumps Curb In Long Beach
Police say the car also struck a building, causing minor damage.

A woman suffered minor injuries after she was hit by a car that jumped the curb in Long Beach earlier today.
According to police, the driver lost control of the car around noon and backed up over the curb at the intersection of West Park Avenue and National Boulevard. A pedestrian was hit, Long Beach Police said, and suffered minor injuries. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The car also slammed into a building, but the structure was examined by the Long Beach Building Department and deemed safe.

Police said there was no apparent criminality in the incident.
