Nassau Police, Bay Constables Rescue Stranded Jet Skier

The jet skier was clinging to a buoy after their vehicle became disabled, police said.

POINT LOOKOUT, NY — The Nassau County Police and the Town of Hempstead Bay Constable located and rescued a jet skier who had become stranded in the water Tuesday night.

According to police, the Marine Bureau received a call for a jet skier holding onto a buoy at 9:25 p.m. A helicopter was able to locate the jet skier holding on to Buoy 6, near Jones Inlet.

The Town of Hempstead Bay Constable rescued the jet skier, and was able to tow them and their disabled jet ski back to shore.
