LONG BEACH, NY — While some school districts are switching back to remote learning as the omicron variant of the coronavirus keeps rising in Nassau County, Long Beach is providing guidance for students and families.

In a letter posted online, schools superintendent Jennifer Gallagher said the district received a shipment of take-home COVID-19 test kits for families. Each box has two tests.

For families who are interested, the district will provide details for requesting the tests. For now, the district said they will distribute one kit per family.
