Sewing forTweens and Teens-Level I

Sewing is a creative way to express yourself.  In this class, students will learn the basics of sewing: how to thread a needle for handwork, how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, straight stitch, back stitch and pivoting. Students will learn how to use an iron and cut out patterns.

Our first project will be a drawstring bag to carry projects in.  We will move on to upcycle old jeans into fabulous bags!  Sewing is a fun way to meet new friends and develop fine and gross motor skills. There is no finer way to build self esteem than when saying "Thanks, I made it!"

Please call Elizabeth for more information and to reserve space at 889-7015.
