LONG BEACH, NY — A shark was spotted on Tuesday afternoon in East Atlantic Beach, Town of Hempstead Supervisor Don Clavin said in a release.
This comes as the state announced enhanced shark patrolsacross Long Island amid several shark attacks this summer.
There was also a shark sighting in nearby Lido Beach over the weekend.
