“The Godfather” The abandoned runway was shot in Mitchel Field, now part of Nassau Community College, according to MoviesFilmedOnLongisland.com. Other shots include Falaise, part of the Guggenheim Estate at Sands Point Preserve, including the scene where a horse’s head was found in Jack Woltz’s bed.  

“Citizen Kane” – Long Island shots include aerial views of Huntington’s Oheka Castle to showcase Xanadu, the fictional estate of Charles Foster Kane, according to MoviesFilmedOnLongIsland.com.

“The Brothers McMullen” – the film written, directed and starring Long Island’s own Edward Burns – features shots of the Valley Stream home where Burns grew up, as well as scenes of the nearby Gibson Long Island Rail Road station.

“The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, “another Ed Burns film, includes scenes of the Irish Pub and Grill in Lynbrook on Stauderman Avenue.
