Sunscreen For All: Long Beach Adding Dispensers To Boardwalk

The dispensers will be maintained at no cost to taxpayers, and will be placed at 14 locations.

Thanks to a new plan from the City of Long Beach, you'll be able to lather up on the Boardwalk. With sunscreen, that is.

According to Newsday, the city passed a resolution to use a $90,000 grant to install sunscreen dispensers at 14 locations along the Boardwalk, all at entrance ramps leading to the beach. They will be loaded with SPF 30 sunscreen, and will be maintained by NYU Winthrop Hospital, which awarded the grant. Winthrop will also be responsible for maintaining the dispensers, at no cost to the city.
