Track Work To Shut Down Long Beach LIRR This Weekend
The work will close most of the Long Beach Branch. Customers will be able to use buses instead, but there will be delays.

This weekend, the Long Island Rail Road will be doing work on the Long Beach Branch, which will lead to the majority of the line being shut down.
LIRR work crews will be replacing ties on Reynold's Bridge, which crosses Reynolds Channel and connects Island Park and Long Beach. The work will begin at 10:18 p.m. on Friday and continue through 5 a.m. on Monday.
To allow for the work, the Long Beach Branch between Valley Stream and Long Beach stations will be out of service on Friday at 10:30 p.m. until Monday at 3:01 a.m. Customers on this span of the branch will be accommodated by buses.
