LONG BEACH, NY — Two people were hospitalized Monday after a car crash in Long Beach left a Mitsubishi sedan overturned near the intersection of National Boulevard and West Chester Street, the Long Beach Fire Department said.
According to fire department officials, the crash was called in at 10:53 a.m. When first responders arrived, they found a two-car collision with the Mitsubishi overturned; both occupants of the overturned car had already gotten themselves out of the car by the time firefighters arrived, officials said.
In the aftermath of the crash, fire officials said the two occupants of the overturned Mitsubishi were in stable condition at Mount Sinai South Nassau while the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, a Mercedes-Benz, had declined to be taken to the hospital. Patch attempted to reach Long Beach police to confirm if there was any criminality suspected in the crash.
