UPDATE: Body of Missing Paddle Boarder Found
The 41-year-old had been reported missing on Sunday.
Atlantic Beach, NY — A paddle boarder who went missing off Atlantic Beach on Sunday was found dead on Friday in Atlantic Ocean, according to Nassau Police.
Police confirmed that the body of 41-year-old Gary Turkel, of Atlantic Beach, was found south of Jones Beach.
He was reported missing by a family member who called local authorities and said he had gone out on a paddle board near the coast of Atlantic Beach and had not returned.

The Coast Guard suspended its search for Turkel on Tuesday.
Turkel was a father of three and global manager of the market specialist team at Bloomberg, the financial data provider, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
