Watch Again: Long Beach Forum On Water Quality

Long Beach residents heard from city, state and county officials about the state of their water Wednesday night. You can watch it all here.

LONG BEACH, NY — A public forum was held Wednesday evening where Long Beach residents heard from city, state and county officials about the state of the water supply. The event began shortly after 6 p.m., and several residents were given three minutes each to ask the panel questions following a series of presentations.

The forum was held on the 6th floor of City Hall and ended around 8 p.m.

The state Health Department told residents that E. coli bacteria detected in the water last month do not cause human disease, and that the water supply was unrelated to a reported infection in the community.
