This Week In Long Beach: Petit Larceny, Menacing And Unlicensed Driving, Police Say

The Long Beach police Department released its crime log for the week ending Apr. 1 Wednesday, detailing 10 arrests made since Mar. 18.

LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach Police Department released its crime report for the week ending Apr. 1 Wednesday, detailing the arrests made by LBPD within city limits.

The items reported are as follows:

On Mar. 18, 43-year-old Long Beach resident Jordan Henner was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, police said. Court documents show Henner has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Also on Mar. 18, 33-year-old Hempstead resident Ana Bonilla was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, in addition to the execution of a pair of open warrants in her name, police said.

In a third Mar. 18 incident, police said 34-year-old Island Park resident Ali Ghadrdan was arrested and charged with four seventh-degree counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in addition to a one-way violation. Court documents show Ghadrdan has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

In a final Mar. 18 incident, police said 43-year-old James Banta of Long Beach was arrested and charged with a DWAI and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Court records show Banta has pleaded not guilty to both charges.

On Mar. 23, 33-year-old Lynbrook resident Michael Yuksektepe was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to obey a traffic device and a motor vehicle charge for driving without a license. He has not entered a plea yet, according to court documents, as his first appearance was adjourned until Apr. 8.

On Mar. 24, police said 78-year-old Lido Beach resident Martin Saul Bratt was arrested under section 570.34 of state criminal procedure law (CPL). Section 570.34 states that a person accused of crimes in another state can be arrested without a warrant by local authorities, provided they have sufficient proof that, “the accused stands charged in the courts of another state with a crime punishable by death or imprisonment for a term exceeding one year.”

On Mar. 25, police said 51-year-old Island Park resident Paul Marrero was arrested and charged with petit larceny at 415 National Blvd in Long Beach. Court documents show Marrero has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

On Mar. 26, police said 62-year-old Long Beach resident Steven Hutzenlaub was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. Court documents show he has pleaded not guilty to both charges.

On Mar. 26, police said 38-year-old Long Beach resident Steven Nevins was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; court documents show he has pleaded not guilty.

On Mar. 28, police said 45-year-old Kissimmee, FL resident David Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a license and failure to obey a traffic device.
