TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — From face painting to scavenger hunts, Spring Fest will be back this May in the Town of North Hempstead.
The Annual Clark Botanic Garden Spring Fest will be on Saturday, May 2, at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson. Families can roam the 12 acres of the park, taking in the springtime trees, gardens, streams, and ponds.
There will be a surplus of activities for families, including lawn games, a slime bar, button making, arts and crafts, information on the Wildlife Center of Long Island, and more.
Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena said this is one of her personal favorite events to attend.
"The fresh blooms at Clark Botanic Garden make for a perfect backdrop as we come together to celebrate the long-awaited return of the gentle spring air and gorgeous weather," she said.
Students who participated in the TONH's Earth Day arts and crafts projects will have their creative works displayed.
The event will be from 12 to 5 p.m. at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson. For more information about the festival and a full schedule of events, folks can call 311 from within the TONH, or 516-869-6311 from outside the TONH.
