NEW YORK CITY — One person was killed, and two others were injured after they were struck by a truck in Chinatown on Thursday.
The crash happened near Canal Street and Bowery around 10:20 a.m, the FDNY said.
According police, the truck attempted to make a right turn on Bowery and mounted the curb hitting the pedestrians.
A 77-year-old man was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The two other pedestrians were also hospitalized.
The driver of the truck was taken into custody.
Additional details have not been released yet. An investigation remains ongoing.
