Leg Day Comedy is a monthly BYOB stand-up comedy show held inside a working gym on NYC’s Lower East Side!
Join us Saturday, September 19 at 7PM at 720 Strength for a lineup of some of NYC’s best comedians. Leg Day has featured performers seen on SNL, Netflix, Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, Late Night and more.
This Saturday’s lineup features Maddy Smith, Eddie Morrison, Ayanna Dookie, Lizzy Cassidy, Chris Scopo, Salma Zaky, Chris Riggins and Skyler Holzman.
Come for 80–90 minutes of stand-up in one of NYC’s most unusual comedy venues — right in the heart of the Lower East Side.

Internationally renown trumpet player and composer Seiki Yukimoto and his “band with no borders” Soulbleed East Meets West return to NUBLU on Friday September 18. 
Seiki Yukimoto will be leading the legendary guitarist Spaceman Patterson,&nbsp;respected drummer Craig Holiday Haynes and well known Latin percussionist Jose Luis Abreu.
Also joining the group is twice Grammy nominated pianist and leader of Organic Electric, the innovative synthesizer player Mike Hayama &nbsp; Rapidly rising star Rico Jones whose first album was voted one of the&nbsp; 2026 best by Downbeat Magazine&nbsp; will bring his energetic saxophone sounds.&nbsp; Rounding out the band is Calvin Jones the accomplished acoustic and electric bassist&nbsp; who collaborated Pharaoh Sanders and Max Roach.
Get ready for a evening of spirited music as these musicians freely interpret and play Seiki Yukimoto’s original tunes.&nbsp; A borderless night!

The Jay Heritage Center (JHC) is proud to welcome educators to our site during September 2026, Constitution Month, to commemorate our nation’s journey towards independence and democracy. The free program is co-sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Social Studies Council. The event will be the first of many lively conversation about America at 250 with some of our country’s leading history scholars. It is open to teachers throughout the Mid Hudson and Sound Shore communities as well as Fairfield County.
Professors David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman and Beverly Gage will take the stage at the new Wachenheim Center to examine the history of the nation-state and the contested nature of American national identity. The panel will discuss what the United States and the Constitution have meant to citizens over time and how that vision has changed or stayed constant. &nbsp;The event is FREE but registration is required. FUN FEST JAPAN&nbsp;celebrates Japan and NYC with an all day free Japanese cultural festival, featuring traditional performing arts and fun cultural activities for the whole family!
Enjoy performances by JFDINY’s own Minbuza (Japanese Folk Dance), Samurai Sword Soul (Traditional Sword Fighting), and Taiko Masala (Taiko Drumming).
In our activities area, experience a variety of fun Japanese arts and crafts such as origami, calligraphy, kendama, and kimono dressing.
The finale of the day will be the Bon Odori, a traditional Japanese Summer event where everyone joins in and dances together! Come to&nbsp;FUN FEST JAPAN&nbsp;and let’s celebrate NYC!

Mark DeGarmo Dance is seeking 10-second long video submissions from anyone (artists of any discipline, non-artists, dancers or non-dancers) who wants to move and share their expression! All submissions will be compiled into one final Global Dance Circle video and shared on social media! Our 11th Global Dance Circle video will be shared on December 21st (the winter solstice) with the theme: “Celebration.”

Global Dance Circle for Social Change programming launched after Virtual Dance for Dance for Social Change 2020.
