- A woman was stabbed in the stomach in a Lower Manhattan subway station early Sunday morning. The attack happened around 8 a.m., and it was not immediately clear if the stabbing occurred on the train or the platform. The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.(New York Post)
- The state of New York issued an urgent advisory on Christmas Even as child COVID-19 hospitalizations nearly quadrupled in just three weeks. The omicron variant has spread rapidly throughout New York City, and parts of Lower Manhattan are now considered to be among the most contagious in the world.
