1 Arrested, 2 At Large In Elmont Robbery
Police said the victims lost three iPhones, a Louis Vuitton bag containing personal papers and an undetermined amount of money.
ELMONT, NY — One man was accused of robbing a couple in a car, and two others are still being sought by the police. Nassau County police said, around 11:30 p.m. Friday, a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were sitting in the front seat of a car parked at the corner of Emily Avenue and Norma Street in Elmont.
Three men, wearing dark colored ski masks and blue surgical gloves, approached the car.
One of the men opened the passenger door and displayed a silver-and-black semi-automatic handgun while he demanded the couple's property.

A second man approached the rear door on the driver's side. A third man — Tyler G. Joseph, 23, of Elmont — opened the driver's side door, leaned into the car and demanded the couple's property.

No one was injured.
Police said the first man was black, 22 to 26 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He had a beard showing underneath the ski mask and was wearing a dark gray-colored hoodie-style sweatshirt, dark gray sweatpants and red-colored Jordan shoes.
The second was black, 22 to 26 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches and weighed about 140 pounds.
Shortly after midnight, officers canvassing the area saw a gray colored Dodge Caravan with four men in it.
When the men saw the officers, they fled the scene in the vehicle at a high rate of speed north on Elmont Road.
The car was stopped in the rear parking lot of 485 Hempstead Turnpike, after which the four men got out of the vehicle. Two of them got away, but two others, including Joseph, complied with the officers' commands.
Joseph was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree robbery. He was arraigned Saturday in Mineola. None of the couple's property was recovered.
